I like your models yo7 have just posted

Please tell us about the motor you have placed in the fishing trawler? Is it geared? Brushed? I use only brushed in my vessels.

Which motor is it #? Glad you are using NiMH and not those hot ones, far safer when charging!

By hot ones, I was referring to the batteries. The type slips my mind, but they are ones you must be careful charging or they could cause a fire. LiPo?

Re:Recently retired?

Did you say in an earlier post to the group that you recently retired? You just started building four years ago?

What line of work?

Retired yes 🤗

I retired in 2015 after 20+years as an educator. Mostly teaching in high school here in Ontario, Canada. Technological Design, with AutocadLt as one of our tools in our tool box. Also did Fine Woodworking, Construction, and various none tech classes. My B.A. is in Music...percussionist.

I built mostly plastic kits for a hobby, but dappled in rubber-powered indoor/outdoor model airplanes. I sponsored a model plane club at school flying catapult gliders, and free flight rubber motored airplanes. Some of the members hold Canadian records in the under 18 categories. It was fun!

After retiring is when Rc model building of boats became my hobby. Starting with the Dumas Carol Moran kit, an 18” model which my grandson helped to build and paint. We thought it “Big” until we put it on the pond and realized it was a calm water only vessel.

My family bought me a 42” RC sailboat which was a retired racing model. The owner knew I was not going to be entering competition with it, so he sold it at a bargain! It was my first sailboat and a joy to sail.

Since then, I have gone on to build two scratch model sailboats, both drawn up on CAD first. Also, added to the fleet are two scratch built tugboats.

There is more to write, but this is getting rather lengthy...

Site problems

Hi T33cno,

I noticed in a couple of your post you mentioned you were having a few problems when posting.

Is Doug (RNinMunich) looking into them ?
If not then please try to explain what the problems are and what threads it is happing in.

Re: Site problems

Hi T33CNO.

Thank you,
I will pass information this on to Stephen (Fireboat) Site owner.
He will add it to the To-Do list and hopefully he will fix this issue soon.
