    Thanks Figtree7nts!!
Now I'm learning about electric motors and speed controls!
Before I purchase anything wrong, better know all these systems!

I made an auxiliary cabin on the sovrastructure that contains circuits and point the search light toward the crane action space I posted some pics before
  • figtree7ntsAdmiral
Oh, OK I'm glad you finished it. great job on the crane too!

I bought this ready to sail kit from Howes Models on my return to model boating after a break of 25 years.
My longtime friend Chris and I made the video as a bit of fun and to celebrate our return.
Watch out for the green dragon on the starboard bow!

This is a small lake at County Hall, Worcester, the HQ of Worcestershire County Council and now the Sunday morning venue of Droitwich Spa Model Boat Club, of which I am a member.
Yes, the club is well supported and barring ice, there is attendance every Sunday throughout the year.
Coincidentally, this was my sailing venue 25years ago.

This film was taken on our home lake at Needham Market . Originally an I.C powered boat I have converted to single brushless motor on a direct drive 48mm prop , single rudder . Powered by 2*5000mah 4 cell lipos . As you can see I am very pleased with its performance . 😎

These are originally an I.C kit 1/6 scale , there is a company in Germany still making them believe they are called MHZ. I think I've scene them in 1/8 and 1/35 scale too . Also other builders have used water jet drives on films I've watched . This one is running on brushless motor normal prop and direct drive as all my boats have so far . Keeps the cost of spare parts down %uD83D%uDE0E%uD83D%uDC4D

RAF Crash Tender
This poor boat has been in several attics over the last 40 years and I finally I decided last year that I would get to grips with it and do my best to have it's construction finished. This website has been very helpful and so a big thank you to all you talented chaps out there for being such an inspiration.
Although I now see mistakes dotted here and there, I was proud to raise the RAF ensign on the 3rd of March and then be able to say that the job was done. Granted it's only a static model and I'll need a lot of help and advice if ever I'm to install an engine but I thought it would be a good idea to share my efforts, mistakes included.

Great looking model. Mistakes ?? it doesn't matter who we are, we can all look at our model's and think like that. But it's a matter of opinion, we can look at anyone's model and think "I wouldn't have done that like that". We do them how we think we wan't it. You should just sit back and say to yourself you are proud of what you have done. if you are then that's all that matters. if anyone tells you different then you should tell them to get on and make one and see if they can do better. Well done, GREAT looking Crash Tender.

Kit [Robbe] I didn't built it myself. I removed the motor and screw. So the only power is wind power. And I've equipped the boat with a sailor and a flag. When zoom in on the last picture, you see that he is also provided with a crate of beer.

Scale models are the only way to see in 3 dimensions how long-gone vessels looked, so it's great to see a unique model that represents this class of vessels.

And great to have it showing its paces.

    Well done.
