Snowy joins the crew

I found a plastic model of Captain Haddock and used him as Skipper, then decided to make a clay model of Tintin to join him as crew on my pusher Tug..
- then a friend suggested making a model of Snowy to join the crew. Here’s how I made him!

RC Sailing :- "Wee Nips" at the Goyt - Part 2

Out for a "chilled" afternoon with the "Wee Nip" - testing various camera settings and filming techniques from the camera boat under various lighting conditions.

Thanks for posting the wee nip video. I've never sailed or built one of these, looks like it would be a fun little boat to have, certainly would be easier to transport than most of my sailboats!

RC Sailing :- "Alexandra"

Looking like a Windermere Pleasure boat, "Alexandra" is actually a German River Cruiser owned by Buxton Model Boat Club member Keith Holmes.

Russel Brothers Tug

My friend is traveling in B.C., Canada, and took a photo of this Russel Brothers tug, though he did not do it especially for me, just posted it on his FB page. I asked if he had any other views but By the time he got my question he was farther on his journey. Still, this would make a nice project build.

Interesting that the Flo Mac on the Russel Bros site looks very similar to your scratch built one complete with multi chine hull .

3 x GPL ic boats at Stevenage

3 GPLs on the lake at once, all with different engines, 2 with onboard GoPros, 1 unfortunately with a battery that was about to fail...

My yellow boat was a couple of seconds in front of the action so didn’t get involved. First time for a long time we have had 3 of the same boat on the lake. So 10 mins of ‘competitive’ fun. And we didn’t lose any cameras off boatswhich sometimes happens. 😁 Yeah pity about the shows... always looked forwards to them. 😔 SMBC has stopped sailing now till we see how Govt guidelines change, so time to do some repairs etc. Will post some video of my RAF Firefloat- you haven’t seen that. It is 99% finished. 😉

hi wonder if anyone can help me i am bulding smit nederland by billings and having troubles following manual has anybody got any build pics there is no measurements and im not sure on the deck with super structure is the deck curved, on 44 as i cant see if it is can anybody please help me out, many thanks colin👍

RC Sailing - BMBC at Buxworth Basin

On Bank Holiday monday 31st August 2020 , Buxton MBC put on a display at Buxworth Basin in the High Peak of Derbyshire.

Ref Wikipedia - Bugsworth Basin is a canal basin at the terminus of the Peak Forest Canal. It is located at Buxworth in the valley of the Black Brook, close to Whaley Bridge. It was once a busy interchange with the Peak Forest Tramway, for the transport of limestone and burnt lime.
