I liked this. Designed purely from very old pictures of the full size apparently. Respect to the builder for the creation of this vessel. Filmed at the international Model Boat Show 2017.

One of my favourite RC shows of the year. The Southern Model Show has a bit of everything. The temporary boating pond is used by about 6 clubs who demonstrate their various watercraft to the appreciation of the visiting public.

This is a video of my little Toby Tug (a seaport workboat in a previous life) very generously given to me by Bob Hutton from Stourbridge Model Boat club. it's shown at Bournville Tug Day yesterday (5th June 2016) on a Tug Tow of a 10 ft tanker - two small tugs giving it a try, when calamity - the front Tug got swamped by another (not very well-behaved) passerby and capsized - leaving Toby to pull both boats back to shore.. Enjoy!

This was a static model, that the gentleman I got it off had it for two years and when I asked why don't you put it in a box his reply was the box would be to high at 36" so I said to him is it radio control,NO static model only but can be converted,so I brought it and also showed him that if you move the tube slider on the mast it folds(one unhappy chappy),so I set about radio controlling it with a smoke unit(water) and it gets quite a bit of attention at shows because it's different, the model is based on the Queen from new Brighton 1897-1923

Finally managed to put a little film together of my 1.24 Grey Goose taken at the Herne bay regatta. As well as the usual turning guns, lights and ship sounds this boat fires working torpedo's using a CO2 gas system. Will be putting some film of this on youtube shortly.
If your interested I'll be exhibiting at the Southern Model show this weekend and will demonstrate the torpedo system at the show. Hope to see you there.

Here is a display model I built it is the late great RMS LUSITANIA scale 1/350 built for show only it took me 7 months to build a one of a kind kit something you don't see everyday built from a kit mostly scratch built did not like some of the kit parts so I made my own.

This was the 1-35 scale plastic model kit and converted to RC 3 props 2 working port and the starboard the centre is non running. Due to weight I used a 11.7 lipoly battery so it's fast but the running time is only about 20 30 mins
It won best in show in the navy boat section at our club due to the detail and the figures so can't be bad
