- GaryLC🇬🇧CommodoreHello Tica, and very nice to make your acquaintance, and I very much appreciate your comment. I think the two video clips posted are quite incredible, and very much admire the skills of the builders and the finely detailed finish on both boats. I rather wish we had more steam enthusiasts in this country, but I am afraid it is nearly all electric motors more is the pity. Regards to yourself and Bernhard definitely the king of fine detail. Nice model lots of ballast, batteries, MARX Hectoperm motor for huge power reserve. Running on electric but Cheddar Proteus steam plant also fits in instead with ABC boiler control. plan for the future to try this never run not even on air yet!

A compilation of live steam boats in action at the Surrey Park Model Boat Club in Melbourne, Australia
- schuffelsAble SeamanEnvy Jane belongs to my granddaughter Evy Jane.
It is sailed regularly at the Surrey park Dive, which is an old quarry in the city of Box Hill in Victoria Australia. We have a great facility and club house with approximately 130 members, we welcome new members and visitors and meet Sundays and Wednesdays.Liked by reilly4
The next thing to get is a steam Whistle!
- RNinMunichFleet AdmiralWe should live so long Ed 😉
I may have the machines necessary to make a steam engine, but I sure don't have the expertise necessary🤔, like Hammer 👍 for instance does have! Anyone out there making mini marine diesels????
Cheers, Doug 😎Liked by figtree7nts
- lesliebreameChief Petty Officer 1st Classyes, my mate has added a lot of weight on top compared with the original so consequently has ended up a bit lower in the water. Bob was firing up his Explorer next to me and couldn't get the radio to work as he had plugged the servo into the wrong slot!!Liked by RNinMunich
I have tested the steam generator.
And it worked like it should.
It makes quite a bit of smoke!
It also smells like live steam.
It should add some great detail.
To my model tug Brooklyn!
- DonnieboyWarrant OfficerThat will look great in the Brooklin. That's a good amount of steam being generated. If anybody is looking for a steam generator that is a good one.Liked by figtree7nts
