San Pedro Push Boat

Having built the main cabin I have also built the second cabin or the crews quarters, next will be putting the bulwark around the cabins!
But I think that I will measure out where the stations will be located, before I work on the pilot house.

Having built the superstructure, I have now almost completed it's build.
just have to finish up some details, I want to add for instants I'm adding 5 fair leads and some cleats.
had to special order the parts, oh I also ordered a ships wheel because whats a ship with out it's wheel.
I'm not sure if I'm going to paint it it's original colors or paint some other colors, haven't decided!
Oh, I neglected to mention my mascot, she's at the bow waiting to go to sea.
and of course it's an English Terrier.

I've put together the handrails, I decided on just gluing them I don't have the right solder or the patients!
besides that I'm painting them, what color I don't know.
Just have to make the main cabin handrails and the running light back board

The mast there being one far and aft are plain and simple, I will most likely add lights!
The aft mast is't make up yet, this is why there's no picture!

98.5% completed, debating what colors to use, or paint it similar to how she's painted on the box.
Rudder servo in place, just waiting to get all of her running hardware, also looking in to getting working running lights.

    Hi Ed
Sure looks good and you are progressing much quicker than my pilot boat. I still have many fiddly things to do like deckhouse furniture and lights.
Best of luck with your forthcoming sea trials.

    Thanks Steve
Soon I will be painting her I just don't know if I'm going to keep her looking the same as on the box or paint her different colors.

San Pedro Push Boat

Having started painting the hull the deck and push pads, I've discovered a breach in the hull that's about 130cm X about 1cm or so!
I'm hoping when I reglue the seam it takes, I'm not sure what to expect next.

I have now reglued the seam lets see how long it holds!
In my opinion the San Pedro's hull should have been molded of two pieces to be joined at the center!
and not out of 8 pieces of 1/8th inch thick plastic. I find that the hull is under stress where the plastic is curved in to place!

Might be wise, if only to offset any salvage charges if she sinks! I know these salvage tug captains don't come cheap.
