I had San Pedro in the bath a day ago, Just doing a seaworthiness test!
I think she was in the water for about 5hrs, needles to say she took on about 4oz of water!
I didn't realize until a day later when I picked her up to put her back in the water. I saw a water stain didn't pay to much attention to it. I went to turn on her running system. As you can imagine I had a look of dread, when I saw all that water and no pump to pump it out of the engine room...
I took the batteries out, they suffered no damage.
The electronics was pulled out and dried!
I left the superstructure off so the engine room can dry.
It will be a few weeks of drying, before I can try to access where the leak is coming from.😡😡😡
But I think it's all the weight she carries. 21lbs is quite a bit to carry!
Oh, well I'll figure it out later...😭😭😭

I do know this seam is below the waterline! going to have to seal it some how!
What procedure should I use any advice is welcomed...

Suspected Seam
Ok, I have found a suspected leaky seam, But i'm not sure if this is where the water is coming in from yet!

I have found a piece of plastic that came from the transom!
it's the right size for the stern area which I believe is leaking!
The seam looks as if it's separating, so maybe I'll reinforce the seam!
As you can see from the picture on the right.
The seam is slowly starting to separate.😡😭
What a shame I haven't even taken it to the pond yet!

The rudder tubes are well above the water line!
But I'll check them out.
And the prop shafts were greest properly But i will recheck!
I think I'm going to have to look at all the seams!

Hi Dave,
The glue i used was Zap-a-Gap, also so Z-Poxy for the wood structure! I'm going to go over the hull and see if I can trace the leak!
I suspect a seam that's on the bottom of the hull.
That's where I felt the leak when I picked up the hull.
But who know exactly where the water is coming from.

I also like your advice about the Syringe with the little hose attached to it!
I think I'll look for the seam that's leaking.
I'll fix that and also buy a water pump for good measure....
