Looking around the mighty web.
I have found where to source.
The batteries for the F-14 controller!
It's setting me back $75.00!
For the Transmitter Battery.
and the Reciever Battery.
I also have to order the Charger!
Now, I liked it in the old days.
When you purchased a Controller system.
It came with everything you needed!
Hi Ed,
"Now, I liked it in the old days.

Sorry Ed, but if you'd looked around a bit more you'd have found that there are F14 Navy sets "systems"! available which include a receiver, TX battery (9.6V 2.0Ah) and a servo.
Any 9.6V NiMh of around 2.0Ah would do for the TX for a days sailing.
And any 4.8V NiMh for the RX, 75 bucks seems expensive to me!🤔
Cheers, Doug 😎
When I ordered the Futaba F-14 Controller.
I forgot to order some motors and ESC's.
So, I ordered them from CMB.
They should arrive in a few days!
The ESC's are the Mtroniks 15 amp's
The Motors are MFA-919D 11.1 Ratio!
They should prove to be ample power.
For the Tug: Smit Nederland!
And other supplies were ordered today!
I also had to order some metric drills.
I only had a few american standard drills!
I also ordered some wood glue!
I know I should of asked before ordering.
I ordered some Admiralty Glues Water Resistant PVA Wood Glue 200ml!
I hope this was a correct purchase!
The batteries should be here in a few days time!
Today I ordered an upgrade.
To my F-14 Controller!
I will now have 16 or is it 24 channels!
I'll let you know as soon as I receive
the documentation!
I'll have plenty of channels to play with!
Wow with all those switches you are going to have to write down on a piece paper what switch dose what.
When you have mastered it you will be getting a phone call from NASA LOL!!
I had to order various supplies.
For the Smit Nederland build!
I just received the Metric Drills I ordered.
See I have a set of American standard drills.
But, I didn't have Metric. Now I have Metric drills.
Which are used on the build of the Smit Nederland!
Monday I should be receiving the Batteries.
I ordered for my F-14 Controller!

I ordered for my F-14 Controller!
8 more days and counting!
She's on her way.
I don't know exactly where she is!
All I know is she'll be here in 8 days!
I'm hoping earlier though!🤞
But, I'm still waiting for other supplies to arrive as well!
Now once the upgrade to the F-14.
Arrives I'll be able to install it!
I have found miniture switches.
From Cornwall Model Boats!
Which I'll be using for her lights!
I source quite a bit from here.
As here in the states there's it's very limited.
What, I can find here by the way of model supplies!
As a matter of fact!
All of my supplies have come from CMB.
All except the smokers.
That, I'll be putting in the Smit Nederland build!
To Fleet Admiral,
I am trying but hampered by lack of materials and finance that Is why I am looking for something that I would like to make using the hull that I posted in "Shed Find".
I have spent a lot of time looking through my back issues of magazines
And there are two boats that I have plans and instructions for but none suit the hull.
One is a nice inshore stern Trawler and the other is a Tyne class Lifeboat.
Both models would be very interesting to make, I have also been scratching my head as to how to modify this hull, extending and making and fitting tunnels will not be a problem it's just the Bow that is the tricky part.
Look, what the postman just dropped off!
I should receive the 16 channel upgrade soon!
The ESC's are 15 amp each.
But, I'm only going to be using 12 volts at 5 amps!

Nice little bundle there Ed, the Mtroniks 15 esc is the best one they ever did, had a few problems with the 20 esc, but the 25 esc was fairly reliable, for the price, a neat little unit.😐
btw which esc did you use on your Jersey City Tug?
Smit Nederland arrived safe and sound!
I had ordered the Smit from Amazon UK.
I'm glad it arrived ok!
They just taped down the lid to the box.
and shipped without putting it in a shipping box!
I'm just glad the box. Is a little heavy duty!
Now I hope you guys and Gals don't think.
I'm going to start the build right away!
See, I'm going to study the plans.
Then restudy the plans and probably.
Have questions to ask?
See I've been wanting to build.
This model for a long time.
As a matter of fact.
I built the Smit Nederland.
In 1:200 scale some 35 years ago!
Then I thought wouldn't the be a great model.
If it was at a greater scale!
Never the less, I now have it at 1:33 scale!
This is going to be a great winter project!

Whats going to be the power requirements of your Smit Nederland Ed, and was the kit supposed to have two korts in it, or do you have to supply them yourself.😐
"or do you have to supply them yourself."
You might well be right Peter.
Kort nozzles (name comes from Ludwig Kort the inventor😉) are not cheap so Billing might think that the builder would like to shop around himself and prefer not to increase the cost of the kit. Which would make it less attractive.
Cheers, Doug 😎
