Sooo glad you went for wood and not paint👍
BTW How did you manage to enlist God's help?
Didn't know HE was a model boat enthusiast!
But then again HE did command the building of the Ark 😁
Yours tongue firmly in cheek, Doug 😎

This yacht was purchased on a whim ? i spotted it for sail locally and thought it was about 30 inches high.
i had a shock on collection as its over 40 inches high and 3foot long.lt needed some attention to the electrics and transmitter and a lot of tlc. i think its big enough for my jack russell to curcumnavigate the world single footed !

now working on a 2nd channel for the main sail all the rc gear will be fitted to the lid i.e. the round hatch

Jacko, Like your boat and your mention of attaching all gear to the underside of the round hatch, good idea. I did this once on a racing yacht and it was great, could just pull off and access all electronic, the battery pack was placed low in the hull for low CG. Not my design, but a Swede Johnson design and molds.

I will have to keep this in mind for my future design builds.

ST 200
This model of Seaplane Tender 200 is another "loft rescue" that I have been asked to refurbish by its owner. This is a static model and along with his other models and mine we exhibit them at museum events to remind and educate people that the RAF used to have a Marine Branch for 68 years until its demise in 1986. Seaplane Tender 200 was the lead craft of the 200 Class Seaplane Tenders designed by Hubert Scott-Paine in the early 1930's. The L.o.a was 37ft 6in, beam 8ft 6in and draught 2ft 6in. powered by 2 x Meadows 828 100hp petrol engines with a range of 100miles. Now before the purists come along and say that the 200 class ST had enclosed wheelhouse not not an open backed one, ST 200 was the only one that was built that way the rest of the class had enclosed wheelhouse and walk through cabin. this model is 1:24 scale and is probably about 25 years old

Air boat
Scratch built, made up as I went along started off with single prop but much better wth 3 bladed, size is 24 x about 10. Model driver is KEN. And has been decapatated once and rebuilt using another head. Speed is good but steering not brilliant on one rudder.

Thanks am going to make another one which will incorporate a pusher prop . At least that’s my winter project when all my fleet have been dry docked etc, did one last night ( 42 inch pilot boat ) a V.T. Nelson. Only another 14 to go.

Looking good, but shouldn't there be a safety mesh between crew and prop. Good thing he's got short hair.
Joking aside, it's good to see different forms of waterborne transport.
    Cheers Colin.

Well I had one of these back in the early 1970,s been looking for years for another one must of been a rare boat. So I was surprised when this turned up on eBay last week. So I had to buy it, the seller did not mention that the engine a Merco 35 was locked solid and all the head bolts were missing and the whole inside of the boat was soaked in sticky castor oil exhaust residue, but this is how I like them loft fresh and not messed with. I don’t think it’s hardly been used, I managed to get the engine apart after heating it up with a blow lamp looks like it’s hardly been run but the liner got a fair bit of rust on it so not sure I can use it. The only thing to remove the sticky castor oil was 25% nitro fuel, the one I bought in the 70,s cost me £27 this wreck I bought in 2018 £70 but I will enjoy restoring it, this is the boat as how I got it and now with the engine out that was another nightmare 😁

ESSO CADILLAC
I’ve always wanted to build a WW11 oil tanker of the type my father skippered during the war. it’s named after a tanker he left to go on leave. The crew didn't want him to leave as he would take their luck. it lies off the west coast of Scotland, the captain, a friend of the family, going down with her. it's not the actual Cadillac as it was an older ship, artistic license!

    Now there's a coincidence!😲
I recently saw a documentary about this ship, I think was in the 'Lost Places' series. Took her months to sail to Oz. Not much left now 😭

Interesting prop, looks like the style used in Kort nozzles and water jets. Colin; Rabeosch & co do these types. See attached cat.
Very nicely done Sir, 👍👍 Any chance of a video of her in her element?? 😁

    Cheers, Doug 😎
