Ultimate Enticement
This is a 1984 re-issue of a Lindberg Chris Craft Sport fishermen purchased used on Ebay. Some of the parts where broken and some partially assembled. The model did come with 2 MACK RC motors and some fabricated wood parts, including a template for the aft deck. The interior was assembled from quarter scale doll house items except for the dinette. There are 4 underwater LED bulbs with a dedicated power supply. The running, interior and radar unit are powered by a separate systems from the hull electrics. The second Li-po battery is for backup and balast. There are number of additional items added since these photos were taken including a stern seat and larger radar array .

Yes it's a full width rear seat but without a backrest. I'll post the new photos in the next couple of days.

Hellenic Navy - La Combattante IIIb class Fast Attack Craft
More great photos in this series taken by my friend at Albert Park Lake in Melbourne. These of my P28 - Ensign Simitzopoulos. Great wave patterns. These photos were all poster size in detail. I have had to shrink them to get them posted here. This boat is in my harbour.

The 1/35 scale boat is scratch-built, mainly from Balsawood and marine ply with a fibreglass covering. The guns can elevate and rotate. The radar units both rotate and there are LED navigation lights that I forgot to turn on. There is also a flashing red LED strobe warning system. It needs a little work to get the 4 LEDs a bright brighter.

Boat upgrade - Ongoing proyect
Here's my current project. This is an upgrade of an old model. I retained the hull from a German-made kit from the firm Krick (model "Lisa M") and re-made the upper deck and cabin using 3mm thick ABS plastic to resemble an American type "Down East" type boat. Here is on its sea trial past weekend and during its first light system test.

Neptun maiden
Just built Krick RO-Marin Neptun. First tug I’ve built, she came out okay, I think. 6volt system, MFA 2.5 geared motor, Graupner SXM switch controlling the lights, older Pixie brushed esc controlling water monitor pump. Old Futaba MC210 for motor esc, Frysky QX7 radio. This video was shot at Towne Lake, McKinney Texas. She well on her maiden, needs about 2-4 ounces ballast in the stern though.

Carina
Trying to learn to use this forum properly I am publishing a video that shows an experiment I did to find out how fast the stepper motor could turn. I am using in my model of the sailboat Carina 2 stepper motors like the one shown in the video to work as a winch to control the position of the sails in a system solution where I am realizing this my own way to implement the sheets as shown on the original sailboat Endeavour. This requires my sheet control system to control the length of the sheet of the mainsail i.e. over a range of 8.3 meters. This requires the drum which is turned by the stepper motor to make 21 full turns. Details will be published in my report from scratch of building my Carina.

Thornycroft MTB
Just converted this 40yr old twin brushless model (scratch built from a Vic Smeed plan) to a proper independent twin system plus a sound unit. Started off with a 70s Futaba ESC on 27mhz, then on FM, then replaced with an Electronize unit on FM, then to 2.4 and now on 2.4 with twin ESCs and converted TGY S6 (twin throttles). Maneuvers a lot better and makes a better noise.

Nice job.Great to see a boat running built from a Vic Smeed plan.Should do good in a steering competition with the manouverability you have.Lovely boating pond.

Thanks for the nice comment, and yes it is a very nice pond, except when there are a lot of those things with rags tied to sticks racing (shouldn't say that as I've sailed full scale all my life and still have 2 small yachts), and the buoys they leave there are a pain also, (easy to forget they are there) it was full of hire carp (yes hire carp) which were removed as the council wasn't paying the company or some such hassle, but I'm sure they missed some and they will soon multiply and keep the weed down. Bought the plans for the MTB around 1968 and took around 20yrs to finish it. I still have the plans and it only took me about 40yrs to find a photo of the original boat (bit late by then!).

ASR 64 ft RNZAF HSL W1. R/C vid 3
British Power Boat 64 ft RNZAF HSL scratch built 36" R/C model with twin systems including sound. Brushless 2000kv w/cooled (pump) in-runners, 30A car ESCs, 2200mah 2s LiPos remote lights etc. Started off in 1940, new with the RNZAF and had many modifications over the years till decommissioned, including machinery reduced to twin 671 Greymarine GMs (from the original 3x 500hp Napier Sea Lions) which were finally removed around 7yrs ago and replaced with a single 650hp GM Detroit 8v92T1 (still does 20 knots in its latest configuration ! - see this on the photo gallery of this model) This boat is in far better condition than the ex Phil Clabburn restoration of HSL 102 (he didn't have much to start with) and the hull has never had any major rebuild apart from being glassed to the W/L. Even today there is no way most people would pick it for 80yrs old. Those hulls never age! (ie some of the beautiful 'Whale Back' conversions still around)

Thanks for the positive comment, and yes, it''s a great pond, part of the Gulf Harbour development on the Whangaparaoa Peninsula in Auckland. it is home to the Gulf Harbour Radio Yacht Club, the members having built the jetty, and they race a number of times a week. I am about 15 km away in Red Beach but its worth the 15 minute drive on a day such as this one.

Clyde Puffer
At Illfracombe pond last week . Have made an automatic feed water system for my coal fired Puffer and went to the pond to try it out. I think it needs bigger capacity pump as there was very little water in the boiler after 3/4 hour running. Gordons hydro is beating me up as usual !!! Les Breame

Correction on details of Hydro. Gordon tells me the boat is Japanese from the 1980's made by Gunze Sangyo . it has the original Mitsubishi motor and mechanical speed wiper controller [gets very hot ! ] . The hull is fine glass fibre not plastic.
