Most of the internal workings are in place ,but still a few ideas to work on.
Thus far she has a working forward aircraft lift.
A smoke generator (water not oil).
All four rear guns rotate.
A working bilge pump.
Working next on how to activate the crane.
All three engines are powered from a 6 volt battery.
All other items mentioned above powered from another 6 volt battery, bot of which provide the main ballast.
As I say still a long way to go yet as can be seen. Many of the fittings have to be more authentically painted.
- Kevin-56Petty Officer 2nd ClassHi sorry not getting back to you have been away, will get a photo soon. ThanksLiked by figtree7nts
The hull is not original but is made of laminate. The deck is made of mahogany strips.
The boat engine is a MIG 480 powered by a Lipol 7,4V 5000mAh battery.
- RNinMunichFleet AdmiralNice job👍 Beautiful decking!
Crazing on the white hull looks similar to the problem I had with the clear lacquer on my Sea Scout. Surface stress?🤔
What did you use for paint / lacquer? - SmaragdPetty Officer 1st Classnice job to your Nautic.

- LemmerhengstAble SeamanIn July 2015 the 26ft Firefly sailed from Ramsgate to Dunkirk with a fleet of some 50 other Members of the Association of Dunkirk Little Ships to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the evacuation.
These little ships have an admiralty warrant to fly the St Geoge's Cross at the stemhead, a unique honour! (google images have lots of pics of her)
Lovely model............LemmerhengstLiked by figtree7nts
This Proboat PT 109 model was brought in 2013 for £100 these boats are rare now, This one had a few faults with the propshafts they were bent and noisy both were replaced, with quality 4mm shafts, motors twin 600s were also replaced by Graupner versions along with mounts and couplings, basically all the running gear, also two ESCs by Aquapower were added and a 2.4G RC system.
- Novagsi0Chief Petty Officer 1st ClassThat video was from 9 years ago and that was the camera on the latest phone for the time. Since power boats are banned at our pool this is the only video i have of the model running, sorry.
Posted for posterity. MY other boat 26cc kawasaki engine was same time pre IC's ban.
New homemade carb and also tried running on glow fuel and a glow plug, instead of petrol and the electronic ignition.
Not used any more IC engine's banned at our POOL.😱
- manyboatsPetty Officer 1st ClassTrying to reply to your query about Huntsman power plant, cant find the right place.... anyway cant give you a sensible answer as I dont know. it's an old brushed motor given to me. Will operate up to 24 volts and I'm running it on 14. I think its just right.
