Marblehead all set to go
The owners of this sailboat are putting it in the water today after nearly a year in the repair shop. Should go like a graceful greyhound.

I will post more photos as they come to me.

Sea Queen
Hi Model boat enthusiasts,
This is a photo of almost completed 2 model boats I have almost completed. The Sea Queen 50 years old find. it was found in an attic in a kit. The kit was in a very poor state and most of the timberwork had to be glued back together or remade. I had no plans for it and had to source a copy from the Model Boat website. it is a very nice model. The pilot boat was scratch built and sails very nicely. I have been building boats for about 30years and have built over 25 boats, scratch built all of them. I have included photos of some of my boats.

17-28 Torbay Severn Lifeboat
1/12 scale Severn lifeboat kit from Speedline. Creeping towards completion but still a bit to do. Absolutely beautiful day and venue. 2 1/2 years to get to this point but really pleased with it and enjoying sailing it immensly.

Hi Weedman, there are several of us on the site who have upgraded or are upgrading Southampton and Richardson (same thing - different name and colour scheme!) tugs.
Look for NPJ's Southampton thread, or just use the site Search function to look for 'Southampton or Richardson. The secrets you are looking for are there😉👍 Cheers, Doug 😎

The Southampton has lots of screws around the deck but some are under the bollards so you need to remove them, there are two aft bollards which need to be gently prised loose but the others are scewed to the bulwarks.
I changed the radio in mine as well as the motor/gearboxes and fitted a v.tail mixer from www.mr-rcworld.co.uk with 2 speed contollers as well as converting the battery holder to take a six volt nimh pack. The effect is awesome.

    Happy sailing😁

Fun Run
Our club had our Fun Run today. We operate out of Humber Bay in Toronto whilr the weeds are down. The sun is finally cooperating.
We have two ponds to run our boats in.The Sailors run in the big pond and the scale members run in the smaller pond.Attached are a few photos of the day.I must mention that the first picture is a new construction of a Marblehead out for a test run.The Canadian Coast Guard Ice breaker is totally scratch built with working radar and lights. This member works on his kitchen table. We found out later that he was born on a kitchen table.

Severn Lifeboat 1/12 scale
This is a Speedline kit. its been 2 1/4 years to get this far. The build slowed in the second year but now I can sail it I think it will rekindle my enthusiasm. Theres still lots of detail to add .

Higgins PT Boat
This Higgins PT boat was built and sailed by a good friend of mine. it is scratch-built. it uses a single Turnigy 3639 1100kV brushless motor and LiPo battery. it is pretty new and has not had its number painted on as yet. its performance is excellent.
