LE ZENITH
This is the latest of my builds a french deep sea trawler LE ZENITH .We renamed this model in memory of our daughter who sadly passed away two years ago breaking many hearts.
The ship was a delight to build but has still some electrics to complete..This is my weak point having blown up two speed controllers previously through my inexperience.I have just my speed control to wire and we are ready for a test run when the weather is a bit kinder

Hello Basher, I have just registered on this site only minutes ago and Immediately saw your post. To me it is appropriate that you posted it on my birthday, 10th March thus my response. I admire the fact that you renamed the ship in a memory that is precious to you,a very sincere thing to do.Good luck with getting the ship into a fine working order. Best regards, Steve Heward. steve-fb40.

    HI Colin & Chris,
There is some great work on here. I have just purchased an old mostly built 46'' Tender and want to bring it back to life. I am new to RC stuff but want to do the best scale job I can. Any drawings would be a great help to me as I don't have any and the boat has no fittings on board at all. Where could I get hold of some air cowls at this scale, pumps, pipes lights etc...
Any help would be very greatfully received.
    Regards
    Dean

HI Stonemonkey. I have a spare set of plans for the 46 inch boat which I can copy and send you. You can also get fittings set for these bigger boats from Lesro models. E mail me on (Email Removed - PM Only) if you want the plans.

Sea Queen Refurb
HI fellow model boat people, just a couple of photos showing a rescued aerokits sea queen circa late 50s.
This was in poor condition, work was started mid January to strip down the various parts that required to be remade, deck/superstructure/roof panels/windows etc.
The hull needed stripping back to give a good surface for the finished paint work.
Completion of the basic boat is now getting near, and ready for fitting out with motor radio etc.
Hope to give more details later.
Cheers for now.

This looks great. Im just about to set off on the adventure of building a Range Safety Launch from scratch using a Vic Smeed plan set I have managed to obtain. The plans are 1/12th but I'm scaling down to 1/16th for practical reasons. Let me know how you get on or if you need copies of plans etc. Well done !

Fireboat @ Creally - Try 2
Happy new year to you all.
The weather having turned a balmy but gusty 9 degrees here in the sunny south. I thought I'd try my 34" boat again today.
Now somewhat lightened and with a new speed 600 motor and 9.6v Ni-Cad battery pack. she ran considerably better but is still somewhat bow heavy. As I have only restored her from an ebay purchase I'm not fully aware what might be causing the weight in the bow area but perhaps will try some weight further aft before attempting frontal surgery. Any ideas welcome.
Best Wishes
Chriis

Hi" there, " You have a very nice boat there "
I also own one like this. I try to keep the wieght from
the middle to the back of the boat. My set up is two 7.2 volt @4600mah side by side under the larger compartment lid and switch from one battery to the other. But keep them both in when sailling.! Also running on speed 600 motor. my set up keeps the rear in the water and keep the bow nicely out at speed . But also the boat should sit evenley on the water when it is not running.Try this Before you attempt to butcher your model . Good luck 👍 And a happy new year !
