52 posts · Page 3 of 5The electronics work reliably, problems with stability again, but this time with a transverse stability. Since the superstructures that I built are quite heavy, and the model also has a flat bottom, so setting up a balanced position is very sensitive, and somehow I can not.
I try to stick around under the bottom of the line model, additional load.
Perhaps it will also help the exchange wheel

Despite being an antique, she sails every week on Needham Lake.

Max. - BallastChief Petty Officer 1st ClassThanks for the info, I'll give it a go. trouble is I've had the hull since 1982 so it's a bit out of date as Cygnus then started to produce the GM 33 Continental like yours. But I'm not beat yet, even if I have to end up making the wheelhouse from scratch ! 😰Thanks for the info, I'll give it a go. trouble is I've had the hull since 1982 so it's a bit out of date as Cygnus then started to produce the GM 33 Continental like yours. The superstructure of the model is largely light-ply and paneled to resemble the orginal. She had an open top deck and as you can see the navigation pods were open to the weather.
A semaphore signal arm was included as radio was not yet used to communicate with each other on the Mersey.
The model is approx1/48 scale and built from a couple of photos and sketches that exist. She is powered by two 340 electric motors and controlled with 2.4ghz radio. A 12 volt battery gives the power. Both decks are individually planked.
She has sailed at Hoylake.
Model interiors fitted out with tables chairs people etc and 72 leds light to Illuminate the interior saloons.
Just completed and maiden voyage on Hoylake Lake on the Wirral.
2.4Ghz radio and a bilge pump just in case. Sails a treat with 100 passengers. Extensive use of plasticard on superstructure. Fibreglass hull from own mould.
See sailing location at www.hoylakemodelboatclub.co.uk
Our club can supply the hull if you want to have a go at building one.
- Dave MVice AdmiralAs a regular traveller on the Woodchurch I would suggest your model is a very realistic representation. Paint wise the real boat was far from clean or well painted and in places the rust was all to evident. As a regular traveller on the Woodchurch I would suggest your model is a very realistic representation. It was a well loved and trusty vessel and I am sure I am not alone in having many happy memories of cross river trips on her and her sister ferries.

12 years ago . it's powered by 2 robbie 1000 off a 12v
battery with a vantec ESC . it has a working fire monitor
2 sound systems with 2 -4" Kort Nozzels .
It is all planked by Cherry veneer deck and superstructure
It olso has working lights for the night runs.
I run this tug evry weekend for the past 10 years and it

7 September, hull has been completed, started to build the superstructure
The end connectors are easily removed without damaging the cable. it is possible to separate two or three insulated wires or however many wires or pairs you need to run to different areas of the hull or the superstructure.
For mast lights or radar etc, I found that wires in pairs are the best way to feed multiple pairs of wires up a mast tube etc. (It helps to feed wires through tubes with a dab of talcum powder to ease the wires through). I was able to run 4 pairs of these fine cables up a 3mm mast tube.
The wires are single strand insulated and easy to solder onto led's or bulbs with very fine heatshrink tubing to insulate. Because these wires are very fine the lights or radar supply should be fused at a low amperage rate. 250mA in my Tug.
