Bought as a wreck off ebay . stripped down, repaired hull and top sides. re positioned the propshaft. Re painted. New Brushless motor/ Lipos etc. Goes quite well for an old girl, Believed originally built in the 60's. Ill try to upload a video of her strutting her stuff on Wibsey Park lake in Bradford.

    Hi Ned, Welcome aboard 👍
On my Sea Scout (little brother of the Sea Queen) I used silicon sealant (a la bathroom!) and a small brass screw in each corner. it had to be good cos I had the RX, RX battery and rudder servo tucked in there!
My boat was also started by Dad in the sixties. He had it free running with a Taycol Target and wet (very!) 6V lead acid cells. I upgraded to RC and Decaperm motor about 25 years ago and am currently restoring and converting to brushless 😲
    Happy boating, Cheers Doug 😎

Wow great bit of video, she performs very well on the water and turns seem to be very stable. Nice one. I have a Sea Queen I have got to renovate. What motor are you running in her please.

HMVS CERBERUS
When in Australia I was taken by the history of HMVS Cerberus, whose hull is now a breakwater in Port Philip Bay. After a lot of research on the internet I decided to build a model of it. it is not totally accurate as I could find no definitive plans. Therefore most measurements were made from photographs and guesstimates of scale from sailors in pics. it is radio control but not, as yet, tried out; still one or two items to be completed: eg mast & anchors. Update all but finished anchors and various
bits and pieces of deck fittings to be placed. New phot shows where we are. The partial print showing below is a painting of HMS Caroline in dry dock. Spent fives years in the RNR here in Belfast on board her.

Hi I live in the Melbourne area and have sailed in Port Philip many times, have seen the hull of HMVS Cerberus, it really is a sorry sight. Your model is fantastic, I thank you for giving me some idea of how she looked in her Hayday. 😊

PT 301 (Snuffy Smith)
Lovely afternoon at Fleetwood with no other boats in sight. Went for a first sail with Deans HMS Cossack, but a little unstable , so let snuffy loose. She needs an engine change from a 650 and a new paint job. So maybe next year. 😎 😎 😎

I think the sound is a bearing probably the motor, could be the shaft, definitely no need to increase power, sails very well

Motor has been left insitu, Prop shaft found to be vibrating and has now been fixed. Hull stripped back to bare wood and repainted in camoflage. Spray rails fixed to the hull have made a big difference to stability. Not on the original Aerokits drawings. Can now concentrate on Deans Cossack. Plenty of sheet lead for stability but looks good.

new bright sea ray sundancer painted
It is an rc model that consent the customizing of the cockpit cabin but it comes in cheap colours (red, yellow and gray) so I decide to go to a real nautic shipyard to paint with nautical lacquer in a real creamish White! added some decal for water line and lights and scratch build anchor
