I have just joined and am looking to pick the brains of the best as I progress in the hobby.👍

I really love this site. I have been to many model boat sites, but this is the best I have found. The layout and ease of use is great. I thoroughly enjoy looking at the other modeller's harbours and builds. if you are boat blind like I am, this is model boat porn to me.

It has and in many ways. I'm sailing for my little grandson who is only two. I have never sailed a model boat before, be it motor or yacht. But I'm determined to learn to pass on the him when is older. The articles you present are very informative and your club listings are excellent. I'm confident Ill continue to associate myself with your website and continue to learn.

Hi - I'm new to building - I have purchased MMM "Canning". I hope I can get some tips and know how from the many members on this site. - I have cut many parts from cardboard as templates. Looks like I have to build rudder and place motor in position before too long. Any advice gratefully received - thanks. Paul - Australia

What else can I add besides all of the great complements and appreciations others have left about this website.
Knowledge and experience is what this website is all about.
We as rookies need them both to build our models, so anything we need is right here.
At first I was a bit intimidated about my build, now I can sleep with no worries knowing that some great guy will jump eagerly to answer our questions .
This website is our best tool.

This is an excellent site for information, help, advice and tips...i'm new to radio controlled boats....in a short time since I joined I now have 8!! Yeah....no space left so thinking of moving into a 40ft container!!! Anyway just like to say thanks to the members who have answered my calls for help and advice...without you guys who've been there, done it, and now wear the shirt i'd still be drawing stick animals in my cave so a big thank you from my neck of the woods here in Dingle land :-)

Hi, I have kept safely and replaced the old IC set up in my 1960's Aerokit Sea Commander with a modern electric system. Unfortunately, I’m not sure that I was given the right advice and although the boat runs ok, it is slow, only reaching what I would call a scale “river-cruising” speed. I would like it to be capable of a bit more (without reaching “racing” speed) and wondered if anybody can advise me on a more suitable engine/battery/controller configuration?

I am currently using an MFA Torpedo 500 motor powered by a VP 3700 7.2v 3700mAh battery pack through a Fusion Aquapower 128 (128A max continuous current) controller.

Any pointers will be gratefully welcomed.

The website has been of great interest and useful to me as a starting point for modeling.
Been modeling for just a short while and have received some good advice .

Not the sort of website that is so over busy as you can follow posts and blogs at a slow and informative pace.
All the members are friendly and helpful.
A great all round forum for modeling.

Hi , I am very new to the whole RC Boat community, but already find it very friendly and enjoyable, don't know why I waited so long 😊 , My first boat is a Club500, and hope to have more next year.

Hi all, I joined the forum a day or so ago and have found it to be very useful. I have recently ordered myself a Vintage Model Works 46" RAF Crash Tender. it's my first boat but I have built a few aircraft over the years so hope that will help me. I have already gained some useful tips from the build blogs etc. and I'm sure I will be asking for lots of help and advice, thanks everyone, Ian.
